Arc is UNSW’s student organisation. They provide everything needed outside the classroom to help students have a fun and rewarding experience at uni.
Arc runs a number of events throughout the year. Kicking off with O-Week, the year is full of amazing events ranging from cultural, to creative, to partying. Members get free or discounted entry at session parties, Foundation Day, International Festival, Oktoberfest and Artsweek.
Joining a club is the easiest and most effective way of meeting people who share the same interests. There are over 130 Arc clubs ranging from cheerleading, to brewing, to film and photography, to yoga, debating, sports and even a circus society.
Arc has a Member Benefits Program to save students money on and off campus. Arc Members get exclusive deals on food, fashion, entertainment and travel.
Volunteering is one of the best ways to meet new people, learn great skills and get involved in the community. Arc runs a number of programs that students can participate in. Most of which are recognised on your Supplementary Transcript upon graduating.
The SRC is an elected student body promoting the interests of UNSW students to the University and the community at large. The SRC has a number of departments and collectives to cater for the needs of the diverse student population including: education, welfare, environment, ethnic affairs, women, queer, international, indigenous, disabilities, postgraduate and COFA students.
Arc Member’s have access to free legal advice and advocacy services to help students with issues both within and outside the University. Arc can help students with: criminal cases, traffic matters, employment problems, debts, centrelink payments, immigration problems, tenancy, academic misconduct, consumer problems, copyright and intellectual property advice.
Arc offers short courses that are run on campus including First Aid, RSA and RCG. Arc members are also provided with a discount on courses offered through the Eastern Suburbs Community College.
Arc members are provided access to the Postgraduate Lounge. Postgrads can use the lounge for a variety of purposes as it has a kitchenette, computers, internet access, meeting spaces, pay TV, lockers and lounges.
Upon joining, Arc members receive a welcome pack including a student diary, wall planner, campus essentials and discount vouches.
